Is Numb And Swollen Finger After Bee Sting Normal?
hi, my neice got stung on the bee here 30 minutes ago on her pinky. she has the typical symptoms like a bit of swelling and redness on the sting area. but now shes saying her pinky feels kind of numb. its probably just another symptom but im just asking to make sure. thank you! :)
Hi, i had gone through your query and understood your cocnerns.
When bees or wasps sting a person, they inject venom through their stinger into the skin of the victim. Most people will have only a localized reaction to a bee sting. In the normal reaction to a bee sting, the skin is reddened and painful. Swelling and/or itching may also occur, but the pain usually disappears over a few hours.
Areas adjacent to the site of the skin may also be involved in the large local reaction. So don't worry much.
Hope this guides you. Thank you.
