Is Oflax A Permanent Cure For Pus Cells Shown In Urine Routine Causing Fever?
My daughter is 7 years old and weighs 20kg. She had urine routine analysis done today and result says
Albumin: present (traces)
Pus cell: 203/hpf
Crystals: Mucus threads
Doctor suggested Oflox 100g 7.5ml morning and evening for 7 days. Same cycle of fever/infection occurred 20 days back and doctor gave the same medication. Why is it repeating now? What is the permanent cure?

Yes oflox can cure the urine infection,provided the infective organism is sensitive to the drug.
The oflox had effectively controlled your daughters infection previously.Urine infections are known to recur.That's why your doctor has repeated the same medication,he may give a longer course this time if he feels it to be needful.
In case it fails to control the infection, a urine culture & sensitivity test is done,this helps to choose exact drug to cure for the condition.

Ofloxacin is wide spectrum antibiotic which can be used empirically in urinary infections.But in some cases you wont get the response.In that case you can do a urine culture and sensitivity test to find out which bacteria causing infection and what all antibiotics are sensitive to them.According to that you can treat the infection with good response.
