Is Oflaxacin Right Medication For Fever And Low Appetite In An Infant?
my son is 17 months old and is having 102 degree fever and not interested in having either food or milk, demanding only water. fever will be high for few minutes and for few minutes his fever will come down. especially in the midnight fever will be very high and also early mornings whenever he wakes up from sleep fever will be very high. doctor has prescribed oflaxacin 100 mg,is it safe for him Dr. has also prescribed febrex plus and emeset.
17 months old child needs investigation if a fever lasts more than 3-5 days. If the investigation suggests typhoid fever or urinary infection then you can give ofloxacin 100 mg per day (morning 50 &evening 50).
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
