Hello, yesterday I went on a date with a guy who has bronchitis and we ended up kissing quiet a lot. It had been 24 hours since antibiotics and was still on a new set when this happened. It is now the next day at night time and the back roof of my mouth near the entry tunnel down my throat is orange with a hint of yellow and Is starting to hurt a bit on the left side. I haven t drank or are anything with yellow or orange coloring either. Is this a sign of bronchitis? Or something else?
Thanks for your question on HCM. In my opinion it is not bronchitis, it is pharyngitis. Since the site, you are describing is known as pharynx. And it is the most common site of upper respiratory tract infection. And it is quite common to spread by kissing. May be the same organism is infecting you and your partner and by kissing it has been spreading in you. So I think this is viral pharyngitis. Treatment is as follows. 1. Drink plenty of liquids. 2. Avoid oily, spicy, hard food. 3. Proper voice rest. 4. Take anti histaminics and antibiotic (Macrolide). 5. Warm saline water gargles 4-5 times a day.
