Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
may i take oxyelite pro. im 16 high cholestrerole(but my gp says it may be because it runs in the family.) i am aware this supp hashigh caffeine and stimulants but im pretty used to enery. i have energy drinks nearlyn everyday and feel no affect from them, what do you think?
Welcome to HCM, Oxyelite Pro is not indicated to lower cholesterol. Many states and nations have banned its use due to the safety risk associated with heart and liver failures. I especially think you need to finish growing before thinking about trying supplements. Energy drinks can also be very dangerous speeding up your heart and putting it at risk for strokes especially if combined with caffeine.
I suggest that you make an appointment with a sports dietitian, don't believe everything you read, set up a training program, eat a balanced diet with an emphasis on lean protein up to 1.8 g/kg (although should be individually assessed). Switch to good fats like canola oil, olive oil, omega 3s.
Most importantly, rely on yourself and not a pill. Regards, Kathy J Shattler, MS,RDN
