I need to perform USG_guided FNAC for my thyroid nodule. I am at Bombay. Where is a good place to do the same?
I did it a few days back, and they said they could not get enough cells. The area is paining. Is that normal? How soon can I do the next FNAC?
Dear User, Thankyou for asking on HCM I read carefully your concerns. Iam saying to you that its happened to feel pain after FNA. At the biopsy site, you may have any swelling and soreness. In these case we perscrition pain medicines that are enough to decrease discomfort.(panadol, Tylenol) Let me know please :Blood test for thyroid hormone? -TSH, FT4,FT3, -TG -Ultrasound gl Thyroid (the structure of nodules) For that nodules with a nondiagnostic biopsy result without other risk factory and bening appearance at ultrasound can be followd with serial ultrasound examinations.avoiding repeat biopsy. In my opinion it can repeated FNA within three to six months. My advise is to counsoult with anatomopatholog (futhermore onformation about FNA) and endocrinologyies with you last blood test resoult . Hope I have answered your questation. If you have futher questions I will be happy to help. Best regards Dr Klodiana poshi
