Is Pain And Difficulty In Swallowing Normal After Endoscopy?

I had an endoscopy yesterday. Been about 24 hours since I got home. Feel normal except I have a lot of pain when I eat - right behind Sternum. Feels like I am trying to swallow nails when I eat solid food. I can drink water but even have pain if I try to drink a milk shake. Is this normal?
