Is Pain In Gum And Ulcer Related To Jaw Cancer?

Hi i am 38 and 6"2inch and of a naturally slim build , i went to the Dentist today as have a sharp pain in my gum ( There is no teeth in this area as removed many years ago due to decay etc ) which started sunday , the pain has eased today and they think its an ulcer on the Gum , However when i was there they did an x ray and there is a small dark patch above my jaw line and have sent to the Hospital for a second opinion on this , she seemed not to worried about this and eased my concerns i am now however in a real state waiting to hear about this and fear i have Jaw Cancer

hello thanks for consulting at hcm. it could be frictional keratosis, since it is black patch,,u could take mucopain gel topically for relieving f burning,,either ways consult a oral medicine/oral surgeon specialist,,hope it helps..tc
