Is Pain In The Penis A Cause For Concern?

I have been having pain around the base of the head of my penis. No sores are visible and it feels fine until I get erect and either masturbate or have sex with my wife. It hurts during sex like friction and lubes make it worse. Every once in a while there is a white residue around it that smaells bad. Once I clean it though, it hurts again because I messed with it.

Hi,

It can be STI, since you didn't mention anything related to your sex contact (extramarital).

If you aren't circumcised we can think of phimosis. It can be infected smegma.

It can be a simple fungal infection like a yeast infection.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. S.R.Raveendran, Sexologist
