Is Passing Motion After Every 1 Or 2 Lactogen Feeds Normal?

Hi, my baby is 1 mth old. He was previously on Pre Nan (low weight), When his weight increased to 2.5kg (1mth old) I changed the milk to Lactogen 1 (3 scoops with 90 ml water). Now he has been passing motion every 1 or 2 feeds (soft yellow stools) , Is it normal?

Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day

Every baby is unique and so is their bowel frequency. Its quite common for babies to pass stools after every feeds. Its due to hyperactive gastro-olic reflex. Distension of stomach by feeds, will promote peristaltic activity in colon and causing evacuation of stools.

If there are no signs of dehydration, baby is accepting feeds well, no redness in anal region then there seems to be no cause for concern

Do get back to me for further queries

Take Care
