Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
In July of 2011 my husband had laparoscopic gall Bladder surgery. His small intestine was knicked which lead to a second surgery. Further damage was done resulting in a bowel obstruction. A third surgery removed several inches of intestines and removal of the ileocecal valve. He has had constant diarrhea since. A gastroenterologist is treating him with several Imodium daily, cholestyramine, an IBS medication, probiotics and he is trying a gluten free diet. Nothing seems to be helping with the diarrhea. Is there anything else that can be done?
