Eptoin contains phenytoin that belongs to the group of medications known as anti-convulsants is used in the treatment and prevention of epilepsy or seizures. By reducing the abnormal activities of the nerve cells in the brain, this medication controls seizures. But like other medications it has side effects.
Eptoin may cause persistent cough, especially isolated chronic nocturnal dry cough. This side effect may go away over time as the body adjusts to this medication. But if this side effect persists for long or bother you then you should consult your doctor first for medical help.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
