Is Persistent Cough Despite A Normal X-ray Report A Concern?

I have a persistent cough and am slightly hoarse. DO gave me nose sprays & nebulizer which improved breathing ability but symptoms persist. Also had X-ray & nothing showed up in lungs. Attributed to allergies but still concerned. Should I continue to pursue with a specialist?

Hello,

You may be suffering from an allergic or irritant cough. Identify the causative that triggering cough. Avoid cool drinks and freeze water, avoid smoking and alcohol. Use tablet Montusontus once a day for five days. If symptoms not improved, please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
