Is Potassium Pills Only Treatment To Bring The Levels To Normal?
I cannot seem to keep potassium in my body I have taken as much as 30 potassium pills a day and eat a banana. soon as I urinate or have a bowel movement I have to take more.. this has been going on for about 7 months. I had blood work done last week and potassium was a 4 which was good.. so can you imagine if I had not taken any potassium pills.. I wouldn t have had any in my body
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history Of taking too many potassium pills and banana followed by loose stools and urination. Present level is 4. My thoughts: No one needs to take so many potassium pills a day. In fact it can created electrolyte imbalance oh sodium and chlorides. You should monitor all the three values and take oral poasium only if required. Since you have not mentioned the reasons for taking potassium pills I am in dark to comment on these points. Consult your Physician or Nephrologists for further guidance and do not alter the dosages on your own.
