Is Pregnancy Possible After Having Unprotected Sex On 5th Day Of Periods?

My girlfriend and i had unprotected sex yesterday... it was the 5th day of her period... she has a 28 day cycle... i was reluctant, but she insisted it was safe... i'm not ready for the worst consequences... what are the chances of her being pregnant...? can anyone help...?

I understand your concern.
Conception is possible around ovulation, which is 14 days prior to expected date of menses. That means it is around 14th day of your girl friend's periods( 28 days cycle)
Considering viability of sperms to be 3 days & viability of ovum is 24-36 hours .. fertile window for your GF is From 12th day of menses to 15th day of her periods.
Obviously, your GF was correct,on 5th day she does not have chance of conception . Please don't worry.
