Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Being On Birth Control Pills?

Hi, my girlfriend is currently on BC and we use a condom pretty much everytime we have sex, in the event we don t have one, i always pull out. She is very consistant with her pill, but her period is late 6 days. Is this normal? She has all her normal pre-period symptoms.. Cramps, spotting, etc.

Hallow Dear,

At the outset let me ensure you that spotting and cramps are not the pregnancy symptoms.

If you have pulled out before ejaculation in some sexual incidences where condom was not used, it would not protect her from the pregnancy. Before ejaculation, pre-seminal secretions (precum) is deposited in the vagina unknowingly. Precum does contain some sperms which can fertilize the ovum and cause pregnancy.

If her periods are delayed by 6 days, please get her pregnancy test done on overnight first morning urine sample to know the pregnancy status.

I hope this provides you some guidelines.
