Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Taking Nordette After Unprotected Sex?

Good day doc!

I hope you can help me with this.

I had my last period on October 23 until I think around October 27 and had an unprotected sex on November 8 around 10 pm up to November 9 around 7am. I took 4 pills of Nordette at around 8pm on November 9 and another dose after 12 hours. My period usually comes on regular so it should be expected to come on the 20th of November or probably just within that week. It is now December 1 and I still don't have my period. Is there a chance that the Nordette didn't effect on me and is there a possibility that I am pregnant? I hope you can help me with this.

Hi,
I understand your concern.
You have taken Nordatte in proper dose after the unprotected sex.So it will prevent pregnancy.
The high dose of hormone you have ingested for prevention of pregnancy, is bound to disturb your menstrual cycle.Your coming period is likely to be delayed by 8-10 days.Wait patiently till the time.
If you don't get it till then, please consult a gynecologist for assessing other causes of irregular periods( / weakness/PCOD/ Fibroid uterus etc.)
