Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Taking Plan B After Intercourse And Experiencing Vaginal Bleeding Twice?
On September 4th-7th my boyfriend came to see me. We had unprotected sex throughout those days and I took the plan b pill on the 7th and the next day I started bleeding for about 4 days. I had protected sex sometime in the first week of October and on the 15th I had some severe pain with heavy bleeding but throughout the week for about 5 days it kept getting lighter and no cramping what so ever. The first day my boobs hurt so badly but then it just went away. Now it s been about 3-4 days and I m cramping just a little on the right side. Does this mean I m pregnant?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Possibility of pregnancy is very less. Every contraceptive method including emergency contraceptive pills have failure rate. So, if you don't want pregnancy then better to avoid unprotected Intercourse and use condom. What you are having right now (breast tenderness, right abdominal cramps) are mostly due to hormonal imbalance. But if you misses your next period then get done Urinary pregnancy test and ultrasound abdomen to rule out pregnancy. If they are negative then no need to worry for pregnancy. Get done hormone levels. You may need hormone pills to regulate hormones. Once your hormones are normalize, you will be alright.
