Is Pregnancy Possible On Intercourse During Menstruation?
I've always had irregular periods. I usually get them either on the last week or the start of the next month or in between. I can usually tell when its on its way. I got my last period on Saturday 6th and it was on and off. The start of this period had a brown color to it and very light and I didnt need a pad, but it got a little heavier not by much. On one of my off days Tuesday 9th in the heat of the moment I had unprotected sex. On Friday 12th I went to the bathroom and wiped I ovulated. Could I have gotten pregnant on my period? How long does sperm live inside the body? With an irregular period when should I take a test? If I am its okay, its the waiting thats getting me stirred up. Thank you so much!

Hi..usually the fertile period that is the time you can conceive easily falls between day 8 to day 19 of your cycle. But this is the case when you have menses cycle ranging every 26 to 31 days. If its more irregular than this range, you can't exactly say when sex can be safe..so even if you have performed sex during menses, and your cycles are irregular, you might be at risk..sperms stay in the body for a max of 72 hours generally ( rarely reported for upto 120 hrs).. and urine pregnancy test can be performed by self at home as early as 8 days after the unprotected sex episode with reliable results..so no waiting, you can go ahead with it today itself and confirm your doubts regarding pregnancy..
