I had unprotected sex on 1st nov, got brown spotting on 6th nov. i thought it will be implantation bleeding. Since i dint want to get pregnant, i ate raw pappaya and ascorbic acid tablets. the bleeding became heavy and lasted for 5 days. my periods was due on 18th nov. Since i dint get my periods, took a home pregnancy test and it came negative. Again i took another test just one week back and it still came negative. but i have not got my periods yet. i feel my stomach is bloated. i was also undergoing treatment for PCOD. what will be the reason for my delayed period?
Hi. I've gone through your query and I can understand your anxiety.
As you had breakthrough bleeding in between, your regular pattern of cycle might've altered. Also the HPT test is negative, the chances of pregnancy is less.
I advice you to watch for the next cycle. The date of the next cycle depends on the due of ovulation.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care.
Regards, Dr. Yogapriya V, General and family physician.
