Is Pregnancy Possible While On Birth Control Pills?

My anticonceptive method has been the pill for a while now. Well, apparently I forgot to take last night's pill and tonight I took both (I just wanted to take today's but realized too late I had taken the one from last night that I had forgotten)... and I had unprotected relations today.

Should I take the day after pill tomorrow?

Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Pregnancy will not take place in case you had missed one pill. You can take the missed pill along with the next days’ pill (as you have done). Nothing much to do and no backup contraceptives or a no emergency pills are required.

Wishing you good health.

Thanks.
