I had protected sex, and happened to bleed the condom didn't tair but it's now a few days later and I've started my period am I in high risk for getting pregnant? Also if it happend around 5:30am to wake up for Saturday can I still take the plan b pill on a Tuesday?
All birth control methods have a failure rate even when used properly. So the the answer to your question is that pregnancy can happen with protected sex. If you have started your periods, then again pregnancy is ruled out unless the bleeding pattern had changed and it is associated with pain abdomen, when ectopic pregnancy should be ruled out. If by 'plan B' pill you are referring to emergency pill, then you will be 72 hours away from having had sex by 5:30 am on Tuesday. The emergency pill Levonelle can be used within 3 days and Ella one can be used within 5 days of having sex.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
Protected sex in last week of menstrual cycle, with intact condom carries less chances of pregnancy. To take plan B after 72 hours of sex is not likely to be effective. There is no point in taking it. Wait patiently for periods mostly that would be in time. If not consult your gynecologist .
