Is Pregnancy Possible?

Basic: I take my birth control every day at 7 a.m. Issue: I took a laxative Sunday night, I had the results from the laxative start around 2 a.m.-6 a.m. Monday morning. I took my birth control again at 7 a.m. My husband and I did not have sex again until that Thursday night. Friday night, I took another laxative and had the results from it from, my husband and I did not have sex again until Sunday. My period isn't due until a week and a half from now. Could I have gotten pregnant?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
I understand your concern
Pregnancy chance is very less as you are on the birth control pill.
It has just 0.5 % failure rate after regular use.
You can clear your doubt by pregnancy test 7 days after the delayed period.
Period can be delayed due to the hormonal imbalance, stress, ovarian cyst, endometriosis and thyroid dysfunction.
Above causes should be ruled out by consulting the gynecologist after proper investigations.
Period can be induced by the progesterone pill in absence of the pregnancy.
Avoid stress, take healthy diet and do regular exercise.
Hope this may help you
