Is Prolonged Vaginal Bleeding After An Abortion A Matter Of Concern?

I had an abortion on may 8-9. I had the normal bleeding after and then it went away. Then the second week in June I had a period that lasted 6-7 days and it went away. Now I started bleeding again on June 18 and still bleeding, but it s not heavy bleeding or anything. I ll bleed very very little for a couple hours and then it ll go away for the rest of the day and then it ll so the same thing the next day. Should I be worried?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I have gone through your history and understand your concern. Get your pelvic ultrasound to rule out the possibility of retained products of conception. Though the chances are very low in your case. It could be due to hormonal imbalance caused by abortion.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
