Dear sir I understand your concern.i am very sorry for such a bad experience with doctor. its the basic responsibility of doctor to explain about the medication and how to use it. Regarding this medication PROTERA its called proton pump inhibitor. this medication reduces acid secretion in your stomach, hence its used in acidity problem. I suppose I have given the desired response if you have any other query please write back. Otherwise please accept & rate my answer. I will appreciate your review about my answer. Best Regards.
