Is Prozac Suggested To Treat Aggression And Violence Caused By Bipolar Disorder?

My daughter has BPD, her 14 year old son has become aggressive, violent, and dumped entire liquid contents of food on floor and written on walls with peanut butter. He is currently in a mental facility and has started taking Prozac, will this help his anger and depression?

HI
Thanks for using healthcare magic

I think, her son may have manic episode. If his mother has history of BPAD, in that case, chances of getting bipolar in him is very high. Prozac is a antidepressant ans it will aggravate the manic episode. Better to consult psychiatrist again and review about diagnosis and treatment.

Thanks
