Is Recurrence Of Double Vision While Driving/watching TV Serious?

My father (89 yrs old) is having double vision while driving or watching TV. When this happened a couple weeks ago, I took him to ER and he ended up in hospital for tests and observation for a couple nights. Conclusion, yes a MINOR stroke, no damage done, and put him on Plavix. He then saw ophthalmologist and eyes are ok. Symptoms re-appeared tonight. Is this serious? Should he go to ER again or just wait for ophthalmologist apt tomorrow?

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Welcome to HCM portal
This is not a eye issue and is a neurological problem and is to be tackled by neurologist first ans ophthalmologist comes in the picture later if at all.consult neurologist.
