Is Redness, Warm With Discoloration Around The Stitches Normal?

My son has stitches ..he got them a week ago..they have looked good till today..the area around them is a little more red then it has been and slightly warm..there is also one section that is kind of black..it was like that when we left but feels more so now....is this normal or should I take him to see a Dr?

No, It is not normal. It may be infection. He needs a physical examination as early as possible. He needs to be put on sensitive antibiotics.
