Is Regular Intake Of Dolo 650 While Having Kidney Problem Safe?

Respected Doctor,My mother has repeated head ache, 12 years back she was admitted to trinity in chennai for severe head ache by then doctor suggested her to take Dolo-650 when ever she has head ache. Since 12 years she is taking dolo 650, but now she has 4th stage kidney problem. We are giving Ayurvedic Treatment for her. Now also she is taking dolo 650 for her head ache.some times every day she feels head ache and taking Dolo 650 one or two a day. Is it ok? or else it gives any problem for her kidney?

Your mother is taking dolo i.e. paracetamol 650 mg every day or other day . THis drug was prescribed 12 years back and your mother is taking since 12 years . Now she is having kidney problem but in 4th stage , you didn't mention the name of disease ?
Now she is taking some ayurvedic treatment for kidney .
Still she want dolo .
Side effects of dolo are: Nausea, allergic reactions , skin rashes, ACUTE RENAL TUBULAR NECROSIS ( renal disease causes by dolo ( paracetamol )after prolong use.
2nd point special precaution should be taken when dolo is prescribed in renal disease patient .
In my opinion this drug at present CONTRAINDICATED for your mother because of renal impairment .
