Is Regular Usage Of Betnovate-n Cream Harmful For Skin?

hi, I am 28 year old lady , using betnovat-n for last 5 year ,after applying this cream my skin become really good and I am addicated for this cream.But after knowing that betnovate-n is not good for skin I am become scared about my skin.Plz suggest me can regular use of betnovate-n is harmful for skin.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain Betnovate-N contains Betamethasone and it is a steroid and long term use of steroid based creams on face can cause skin thinning, rashes, pimples,increased hair growth and dilated vein under the skin..

I would suggest you to consult a Dermatologist and get evaluated and he can advise you to taper down the use of the cream as stopping to use at once can lead withdrawal symptoms..

You can be advised to gradually reduce the duration of use by first using it once a day for a week, followed by using it every alternate day and then gradually reducing the frequency of using further and finally stopping the use..

You may however experience increase in pigmentation or rashes and pimples on skin but you will have to keep patience as the skin will start turning normal gradually..
