Is Remaining Dose Of Misoprostal Necessary After Heavy Bleeding After 1st Dose?

hello doctor....i usually have my periods on time....i had my last periods on 16th of november and this time my periods got 17 days late than the due date....than i consulted the doctor and had a pregnancy test and the report was positive on 3rd jan....i took the mifepristone at 10:30 pm on 3rd jan and the misoprostal at 10:30 pm on 4th jan and my periods started at 3:00 am and it is heavily bleeding till now....and now i had a querry that is it necessary to have the remaining misoprostal dosages or not...?????

Abortion process should be done under advice of gynecologist to prevent unwanted complication. Ideally 400 ug misoprostol is given vaginally , if no bleeding another 2 tablet should be given after 4 hour. But you already had bleeding suggests abortion process is started and no extra dose is required. But follow up at 7th day and USG at 14th day should be done for confirmation of completeness process of abortion.
If excessive bleeding occur (2 pads/hour for two consecutive hour), immediately consult the gynecologist.
