Is Safflower Oil A Better Lubricant Than Vaseline?

Hi, I am 50 yr old female. Taking progesterone pills and vivelle dot patch. Gynecologist recommended safflower oil as a lubricant during sex instead of Vaseline due to dryness. Do you know why? Vaseline was much less messy than the oil and seemed to work better.

I had gone through your query but would like to inform you that dryness in vagina might be there because of low amount of pre cum.

As you already concerned with doctor and he/she suggest you for safflower oil as a lubricant during sex but here i would like to advice you to go for foreplay and Oral sex first before you go for intercourse because it will help for pre cum and also you and your partner will have more pleasure than normal intercourse.

And still if you had same issue than you may go for oil as doctor prescribed because Vaseline should affect internal skin.
