My husband is almost 80 years old He has a history of A-Fib and is in the hospital right now, in
the Cardiac Unit. He also has skin cancers which are cut off pretty often and has had the cancer problem
for about 16 years and probably more before that but that is when a giant melanoma became
obvious across his abdomen. At the University of Kansas they even took photos of it and said they never
saw a melanoma that big. However now he gets squamus and basil cell cancers over his face, ears,
temples, back, and arms, so it is in his system. He gets them cut off about every 2 months.
He is in the hospital now because of a severe fall at the local YMCA where he was shooting baskets.
(basketball) He was alone in the gym and after the fall, he crawled to the door to get someone to
help him. Imagine that with a broken bone.
His legs got twisted and he fell down and broke his left hip. The doctor operated on him yesterday
and put pins in his hip but he won't be able to walk for a long time. My original question was about
the dangers of the extreme heat in the sauna .... He wants to do that again when he is able to walk
but he is on Coumadin and painkillers from the hip surgery. Don't forget he is almost 80 years old.
Can an elderly person with cancer, heart problems, hip surgery for a broken left hip, total constipation
so he is holding a lot of toxins in his body, , should he be allowed to do the hot saunas, hot tub,
etc. He was a compulsive jogger for 42 years until he came up with A-Fib, irregular heart beat. At the
hospital when they admitted him after he fell and broke his hip, his pulse was 180. So I think he has
severe medical problems, but does not listen to anyone about stopping these behaviors.
Any thoughts about this.
Thanks
