Is Severe Headache After A Bowel Movement A Matter Of Concern?

the last week everytime I need to poop, and I strain,push or even get a strong sensation, I have been getting a serve headace. it starts in the back of head and where my neck goes together, it then pounds up to my forhead and eyes. and it takes me a while too recoop after it happens. alsp for the first time I was out and I was carring something while walking, exerated my self and I started to get the same feeling. should I be concerned?

Hi,

Your history and symptoms are suggestive of migraine. Because migraine has a particular cause and in your case it seems to be the strain on GIT. Migrainous headache is aggravated by the muscular exercise and movement, as is suggestive of your symptoms. Pounding or pulsating type of headache is characteristic of migraine. You need to visit a general physician and also get your blood pressure checked for two to three times in a week to rule out hypertension.
