Is Severe Headache In A 12-year-old A Cause For Concern?
My 12 year old daughter is having severe headaches to the point that this last on just woke her up from her sleep. We gave her a sinus headache pill earlier and she fell asleep and I just gave her another one and she is not able to fall back to sleep. Thank you Rob

A severe headache out of nowhere should be evaluated further in order to understand correctly if there is an underlying condition that caused it, or it was just a primary headache.
An evaluation by your daughter's Pediatrician and by imaging of the brain (MRI) are necessary for this purpose.
