General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms are probably related to a torn meniscus. I suggest doing an X-ray of the knee to exclude a fracture.

To confirm the diagnosis is necessary an MRI.

Meanwhile, I suggest using painkillers for the pain such as Ibuprofen.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
