Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,
Welcome to HCM and thanks for the query.
Your pain is due to the increased movement of the intestines which occur during infection and the post infection period.
Librax is a combination of an axiolytic and an antispasmodic. It is good that you avoid percocet as being an opioid it may increase the spasm.
You could use Dicetel (pinaverium bromide) which can help to relax the smooth muscle of the bowel.
I shall be happy to answer if you have more queries.
Take care
Dr Noble Zachariah
