Is Sinarest Safe To Relieve Cold In Babies For Prolonged Periods?
my daughter is 1 year 2 months old.her weight-8.9 kg.She has been suffering from cold from a month.I was giving her sinarest af drops & nasal saline, alongwith otogesic ear drops. Her cold subsided after a month when we moved to a warmer climate. But here again shes got a cold after 2 weeks.I started giving her sinarest & nasal saline drops. Is it advisable to continue the medicine for a prolonged period?
Therapy in the form of first-generation antihistamine(Chlorpheniramine) and Acetaminophen may be beneficial in patients with particularly pronounced symptoms, and an oral decongestant(Pseudoephedrine) may be added if nasal obstruction is particularly troublesome.
Saline nasal drops (3-6 horly) improves nasal symptoms. Use Sinarest only when symptoms are severe and that too for a few days only(at best 3 days). Home remedies( holy basil, ginger, honey) often work well.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care

Hello, Sinarest (Pseudoephedrine-Acetaminophen, Chlorpheniramine maleate) is given for symptomatic relief of Common cold which is otherwise self-limiting and subsides in 5-7days.
