Is Sinus Drainage A Side Effect Of Doxazosin Drug Intake?

I wake each morning with an over-production of sinus drainage and again during certain other times of the day (typically evenings). I do not seem to have a cold or sinusitis (which I have had in the past). Could this condition be caused by reaction to medication; e.g., doxasozin?

Hello,

A running nose is a rare side effect of Doxazosin, but that is well documented. This happens because of the effect that Doxazosin has in the opening of arteries and veins, thus increases the amount of fluid going to the nose and increases the production of sinus drainage.

There are also documented cases of allergy to Doxazosin and similar medicine, so this may be the reason as well. For a thorough examination, I would recommend you to see your GP.
