Is Sinus Infection Contagious?

today i had a scan of my sinuses. i have had 4 rounds of antibiotics for a sinus infection since the first of October. my ent dr scheduled surgery for the end of December to clear 3 cavaties. is my sinus infection contagious? i have on occssion run a fever since this all began. am i contagious when running a fever?

dear user....great behaviour from you to ask about to be infectious to others or not......brief answer is yes...sinus infection viral or bacterial is infectious thraugh droplets mainly and contact....if mucous membrane of someone exposed to your droplets while you having infection will be infected also......if you touch your secretions or mucus membrane then touch another person mucus membrane will infect him....but you neednot to worry..if you follow respiratory etiquet and hand hygiene and avoid kissing with others you willnot infect them........thanks for your interest about that...wish you happy life
