Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have suffered from Anxiety and panic attacks over the past few years. The increased heart rate while smoking cannabis has put me off and I stopped smoking the drug 2 weeks ago. I am now back on propranolol after 2 years of not taking the drug. I do love smoking weed and wondering if I am safe to proceed combining the two?!
Taking Propranolol is ok no problem. But smoking weed is dangerous to your health. It may lead to dependence or respiratory depression or biliary spasm or memory impairment or lung Infection or psychosis.
So avoid smoking weed, please go to a rehabilitation centre for further management. I think I answered your question if you have more questions feel free to ask.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
