Is Some Sort Of Suction Feeling In Lung While Inhaling After Having Adverse Reaction To Powdered Mortar Inhalation Concerning?
Hello Dr. S.N.Grief, Long story short, I was a tile setter until i started having adverse reactions to having too much grout and powdered mortar inhaled. caused me trouble for months, and now I feel like i m finally getting it cleared up. I believe that these powders partially solidified in my esophagus and lungs, and now there appears to be some sort of suction feeling in my right lung when I inhale deep. I m not sure I ve given you enough information but If i can have your opinion it s much appreciated! Asher
By your history and description, the possibility of bronchitis is more likely. Bronchitis is inflammation of airways. It is caused by inhalation of powder.
So, it is better to consult pulmonologist and get done a clinical examination of the respiratory system and PFT (Pulmonary Function Test).
PFT will not only diagnose bronchitis but it will also tell you about the severity of the disease and treatment is based on severity only.
You will need inhaled bronchodilators (Formoterol or Salmeterol) and Inhaled Corticosteroid (ICS) (Budesonide or Fluticasone).
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Kaushal Bhavsar
