Is Soreness Of Lips A Sign Of Herpes?
I'm an 18 year old male (not sexually active) and I have a cold sore on my lip. I have previously had Coxsakie's outbreaks twice (at ages 1 and 11) and in a period of stress. The doctor at Patient First took one look and diagnosed it as herpes. Is it worth getting a second opinion?

thanks for your query, i have gone through your query. the soreness of the lip could be secondary to herpes infection nothing to worry this can be treated symptomatically since it is a self limiting conditions which heals in a week. if it doesnt heal then take a second opinion to rule out reccurent coxsakie viral infection or other conditions. i hope my answer will help you. take care.
