Is Soreness On The Face After An Injury A Matter Of Concern?

I hit my head yesterday horsing around and i got a bump immediately following the hit and noticed a little scab of blood (nothing coming out). Although it really hurt and felt tight and sore immediately, i decided to just wait it out and ensure it wasn't a concussion. No headaches, no nausea, or lightheadedness and the bump is significantly smaller. However, it is still sore and feels tight with certain facial gestures. The hit was on the top ride side of my head, closer to the forehead but not quite. I am 23, about 140lbs, and 5'6. Is there anything to be concerned about? or just a normal reaction to getting hit pretty hard on the head

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

It might happen after a hit and it will settle by itself even without any definite treatment. If pain persists, you can consult a physician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
General & Family Physician
