Is Spitting Blood Along With Phlegm After Tonsillectomy Normal?
Hi, My 8 year old son had a tonsillectomy 5 days ago. This evening he has had a large amount of phlegm that he has been spitting out. It is clear but with the occasional small spot of blood or brown. It took about 10 minutes of spitting until it stopped. Is this normal? Thanks,Katy

If I were your treating Doctor for this case , I would advice him
Antiseptic chlorhexidine Mouth Wash twice daily ,
Plenty of fluids &
Tab Vitamic C twice daily to promote healing .
