My son is 16 yo, and was recently told that he has an enlarge opitic nerve. In which he was probably born with. He has experienced headaches and blurred vision in the past, but we assumed it was due to him not wearing his glasses. In which he was told he has a stigmatisma and is nearsighted. Do you think I should get another opionion.
Hello It seems from the history that your son is having headache and blurred vision. This is usually caused by refractive error. One of the common type of refractive error is myopia and astigmatism. The treatment of this is by use of spectacles of appropriate power. Hence I advice you to consult your optometrist or ophthalmologist for refraction and correction.
Thank you
