Is Stinging Pain In Vagina A Cause For Concern?

I was taking a shower and noticed when I washed my vaginal area, I felt a stinging pain almost as if I had a paper cut. I looked at it in the mirror and I don t visibly see anything but a tiny tiny piece of skin out of place. I put Vaseline on it because I thought I may have wiped to hard and the Vaseline initially itched but now it doesn t. Should I be worried or make a trip to the doc.

Hi,

Since you haven't provided your mensural history and sexual history. The common cause can be
1. Infection in the vagina, dryness
2. Allergic to semen (use condom to identify)
3. Dryness – infection, improper foreplay, dehydration, age factor, hormonal imbalance
4.  Forceful sex
5.  Foreign bodies due to unhygienic sex method, sex toys
6.  Anatomical abnormalities
7.  Vaginismus - fear during sex causes muscles in genital to contract and cause pain, injury
8.   Eczema
9.   Deep penetration in few positions during sex

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
