Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was experiencing feeling of sufocation / uneasyness in closed environment. After CBC check, found eosinophil raised to 7 also TSH is high as 28. The family doctor started treatment of Banocide forte & Eletroxin. Is it a right treatment? After 2 days I am feeling well as far as respiration but feeling stomach full. It it a side effect of this medication?
Welcome to HCM and thanks for your query You have hypothyroidism and your doctor has given you Eltroxin, the correct treatment for the same. Abdominal fullness is not due to Eltroxin as it is not one of its recognised side effects. You probably have irritable bowel syndrome and the feeling of suffocation and uneasiness in closed space is probably due to claustrophobia. If you are an anxious person, it would explain your symptoms.
If you have further queries, I am available at HCM web site. Take care Dr Noble Zachariah
