Is Stomach Pain After Having Food A Symptom Of Duodenal Ulcer?
I am experiencing pain after eating and even with pain. Stomach pain then it migrates from left intestinal area to the right upper quadrant area. I have a history of diverdiculosis and mixed irritable bowel. I'm having gas with this pain but no fever. No diarrhea or constipation. Occasional nausea after eating. Not bloating or distension. It's different than my usual episodes. I have had a duodenal ulcer in the past and it's similar to that. I have had some cramping. After the pain subsides then it feels okay for a while.
As per my surgical experience, the pain of stomach ulcer usually manifests great after food and there is a tendency to avoid food developing weight loss.
While the duodenal ulcer case has relief of pain from the food intake and hence there is an overweight condition by that.
Kindly get an upper GI endoscopy done for the final diagnosis and further care accordingly.
Though primary care with diet modifications, proton pump inhibitors serve great.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
