Is Sudden Blurry Vision In A 19 Year Old Who Is Already Myopic A Jumping Myopia?

I woke up with blurry vision in my left eye. The last eye appointment I had was two months ago and I had -1.75 in my left and -2 in my right. It's gotten worse over the two months, more so in my left eye, but it's like it jumped overnight. It's not double vision, everything just looks fuzzy. There's no pain and I wear glasses, take no medicine and I've never had any allergies. I'm almost 19 and am hoping it's just the myopia getting worse before it gets better but I wanted a second opinion.

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Hello,
It seems from the history that you are having myopia of -1.75 in left eye and -2 in right eye.

Sudden onset of blurring of vision is not because of myopia or any other refractive error as the refractive errors usually lead to gradual onset of diminution of vision.
Hence I advice you to get eye examination done by a ophthalmologist to findout the underlying cause and treatment accordingly.

Thank you
